The Colour Grey is a graphic design company specialising in typeface design. We combine experience in branding, publication design and art direction. We work with clients directly and collaborate with other designers to develop bespoke type solutions, from identities to development of full typefaces.
Dan Rhatigan
Worked as a designer and typographer in Boston and New York for 15 years before coming to study typeface design at the University of Reading. He also lectures on typography and branding in the Netherlands and here in the UK. You can look at some of his previous design work at ultrasparky.org.
Ian Moore
Works full time as a graphic designer for a social enterprise based in east London and for The Colour Grey in his spare time. He completed his MA in typeface design at the University of Reading in 2007. He regularly writes for Design Assembly; a UK/US based design and culture blog.
